CERT basic training class Graduation
March 29, 2025
March 29, 2025
On Saturday, March 29, our current CERT class students had their hands-on skills day and exercise. This time, Woodside's new fire station - 12 years in the making - and its firefighters provided the location and instruction. For which we are very grateful.
This was also the first time we used both the Logistics and the Incident Command Post trailers for a CERT training class exercise. We were incrementally more organized with forms, processes and radio ops. Although there were definitely "lessons learned" and we will keep iterating !
Chris P was IC, Vicki was Ops, Jon M was Comms and Robert was Staging. Mark coached and documented potential improvements. Kam and Lynn were exercise controllers. Selena & her crew realistically moulaged our volunteer victims. We had 17 new CERTs and Betsy who joined us for a refresher from a previous class.
