Please select scribes for their ability to write legibly, preferably printed not cursive.
Unreadable or ambiguous writing is useless. It requires following up - which can be very hard when time or people have moved on and in the worst case can cause teams to be dispatched to wrong locations, endangering people and property while time is lost correcting errors. That is why we pedantically drill people to write legibly on the sign-in form. It starts there.

We keep these forms in various places, including in the ICP Trailer, in various designated CP locations and our IMT members carry them.
If we need extra forms, we have a printers in various locations.
CERT Members are encouraged to have copies of #1 Damage Assessment in their CERT backpack, as well as a notepad with paper for taking notes.
