Ways to Volunteer
CERT Basic Skills Training
Learn the basics of preparing yourself, your family, and your home for emergencies. You will gain skills and knowledge useful in any emergency, and you will learn how to get your neighbors together for even stronger preparedness.
This course is currently available as a in-person course offered twice a year.
Fall 2024:
Tuesday Nights from September 10th to October 22nd (6:30 - 9:30 pm)
Skills Day on Saturday, October 26th or Sunday the 27th (TBD)
Spring 2025:

Disaster Preparedness
CERT Organization
Disaster Medical Operations
Disaster Psychology
Fire Safety and Utility Control
Light Search and Rescue
Communication in a Disaster
Anyone who lives or works in the Woodside or Portola Valley area is invited to take CERT training!
Note: All CERT training academies in the United States use the same, FEMA-based curriculum.
If you have completed the CERT training courses anywhere in the USA, come join the WPV CERT team!
